2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2 NIV)
Many people are faced with burdens, concerns, and challenges that seem impossible to overcome. Our Heavenly Father does not want us to feel alone in our times of suffering, grief, or despair. HE is always with us, and HE desires us to rely on Him and other believers for the strength and courage to overcome.
Recently, my sister, DeLores Peavey Nichols, contacted my grandson, Cason Guest, about being a penpal for twin brothers who are four years old. She has been sending them hand drawn cards and other items. One of the young boys has cancer and is going through chemo. Cason was so excited because he loves to draw, and he wants to share with other kids. I was extremely happy about his decision because I believe he can bring joy to the brothers and even comfort. Also, it can be a blessing not only for the children but also for the adults involved.
Sometimes, it does not matter what we do, but how we approach the situation can be a blessing for others. A smile, a kind word, a pat on the back can be a blessing. It is not how much we spend or how much it costs. The action of showing we care is the important thing. Think about what makes you happy or makes you feel good. The simple things we do can spread joy, comfort, and happiness. The world will be a better place if we all think about “What Would Jesus Do”!
Please pray for me and for all God’s people, as I am praying for you! Spread some love and joy. Be a wonderful blessing to someone, even a stranger.
