Knowing Jesus Is Important

“Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:105‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭15:4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Our Heavenly Father Loves us and He wants us to do His Will. He gave us specific instructions and information to help us in our journey through life. If we want to join HIM for eternity, we must always put GOD first and dedicate our lives to doing HIS Will. When I am confronted with decisions, I always ask myself, “What would Jesus do?” Just like the prophets and other followers, I must always be about my Heavenly Father’s business. The most important and precious blessing is that God has given me my orders, and all I have to do is follow HIS Guidance!

As a teacher, for many years I was unable to verbally share my love for Jesus. The most precious and important blessings were the young people, my coworkers, and friends I made during my career, and I could not tell the most important things I treasured. However, I tried to show those lessons through my everyday walk. I tried to “Walk the Walk” instead of “Talking the Talk”. We can all practice that and make the world better.

Everything I need, every question I have, all my answers can be found in HIS Precious and Holy Word! The more I read and study, the closer I feel to my Savior. The closer I get to Jesus, the more I. Love  HIM. The more I LOVE Jesus, the more I know Jesus Loves me! The more Jesus Loves ME, the closer I feel to My Heavenly Father and my Savior—Jesus Christ!

Please pray for me and all God’s children, as I, too, am praying for you and all God’s people!

Never Changing Father

August 30, 2022

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8 NIV

With all the changes happening in our lives and our world, it is wonderful and a blessing to know Our Heavenly Father is the same as HE was in the beginning, the past, the future, and forevermore! HIS Promise to be with us always is a comfort, and we can depend on HIM. We can live knowing HE IS Our Father and will provide for us and protect us.

In the past few weeks, I have been discarding things from my past. It has been difficult because I treasure everything. I am not a hoarder, but I am a collector of just about everything. I have notes from my years in high school, not from students, but from friends in my classes I was in — now that sounds crazy. I still have the first birthday card Clyde gave me in 1963! I have been reading and rereading notes from former students. They poured out their hearts to me, and I treasure the memories. However, I cannot take the material things with me when I leave this world. I will hold on to the precious memories as long as I can. I tell you this to explain how one person’s treasures are another person’s junk.

Looking back can be good, but looking forward is better. God told us to NOT store up treasure here on earth! We all make mistakes in doing that very act, however, we can change and make things better by reading God’s Word and storing HIS Word in our hearts and lives. We can take every opportunity to help others and share God’s Love. We can look for ways to SHINE for Jesus!

God’s Word never changes. He never changes. He is the starting point and ending. He holds the future in His hands. Time obeys His Command. He stands
alone and no one can defeat Him. The same God of the Bible, is the same God of today, tomorrow and forevermore. Thank You, Heavenly Father.

Please pray for me as I am praying for you.

Changing Scenery

“Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:37-39‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Due to circumstances in our lives, we find ourselves having to make many changes. Sometimes, it means we, also, have to change our scenery and our lifestyle. Jesus was and is constantly changing His scenery. He is always on the move taking care of HIS Father’s Business! Thank you, Jesus, for being THE Perfect Role Model for ALL Your Father’s Children. Please help each of us to be more like YOU, and a lot less like creatures of our world. Fill our hearts and minds with your words and lead us in the way Our Heavenly Father wants.

Life is filled with challenges and changes, and
although we may want to hide rather than face
them, transition can be filled with blessings! I have been truly blessed by family and friends during my move to a new home. I have made some new friends who are blessings. It is amazing what God CAN and WILL DO if we just Let Go and Let God! My children really stepped up and helped me more than I could have dreamed. They were busy with their own lives, but they were always ready, willing, and present to help. I have a new perspective on family and friends whether they are blood relatives, or acquired family members, or wonderful friends who are the same as being related by blood.

Life is meant to be filled abundantly with love, caring, and blessing others. Jesus was sacrificed for our sins. We cannot let HIS Sacrifice be for nothing. We must Read God’s Word, Follow HIS Plan for us, Love each other (that means all God’s Children), and Help ALL who are in need!

Please pray for me, as I am praying for you! Hester Guest

Love 💕 Makes the World Go Round

August 20, 2022
Verse of the Day

Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Matthew 22:37-39 NIV

This is one of my most favorite verses! When I hear it, see it, or repeat it, I visualize my Savior hugging me and all HIS children! It fills my heart with joy unspeakable and full of HIS Glory! What a wonderful blessing! HE saved my soul and made me whole! Thank YOU, Heavenly Father.

Let Me Count The Ways

“Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭16:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I remember as a very young teenager thinking about the many ways love can be shown and shared. Lately, I have been dwelling on this same idea of sharing my love for God, family, friends, and country. I truly believe we are responsible for sharing with others, especially our experiences and lessons we have learned. We have to remember we are all different and our earliest memories and experiences are are as varied as snowflakes drifting from the sky. We all bring our past with us into the present and into the future.

God loved me before I was formed, and I know HE Loves me now. I know HE has blessed me even though I am unworthy because His Love is never dependent on anything I do or do not do. I realize I am a disappointment to him over and over, BUT HE STILL LOVES me. HE is constantly blessing me, forgiving my imperfections, smiling on my life, protecting me and keeping me from harm, providing happiness and miracles to me. Through friends, family members, former students, and even strangers, HE continues to bless me over, and over, and over again! For all these blessings, I am forever thankful.

For the remainder of my life, I want to share God’s Love with everyone I meet. God’s Love will lift you to your highest high from your lowest low. He will never forsake you or leave you. By sharing God’s Love, we can make sure everyone has the same opportunity to welcome HIM into their hearts and lives! However, most importantly, we can spend eternity rejoicing and praising Our Heavenly Father.

Praying for the Abolishment of All Evil, Demons, and Curses

My Heavenly father, as I encounter workplaces and areas where YOUR Children are, I bring Your Precious Presence with me. I speak Your peace, Your grace, Your mercy, and Your perfect order. I acknowledge Your power over all that will be spoken, thought, decided, and done within these walls and in our world.

Lord, I thank YOU for the gifts YOU have blessed me with. I commit to using them responsibly in Your honor. Give me a fresh supply of strength to do my mission. Anoint my projects, ideas, and energy so that even my smallest accomplishment may bring YOU glory.

Over individuals who are creating situations that cause turmoil and disturbances, I ask your protection and favor for those being harmed and attacked. I ask that You shake satan from These individuals in character, conduct and conversation. That they become a sweet aroma to all and draw people to YOU. They are trapped in an evil doing spirit. Break them free.

“Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.”
Psalms 34:11-12

Father, keep me strong in Your spirit. I know they are yours but it’s overwhelming right now and it’s impacting the lives of Your children far reaching to people in our workplaces, families and friends and the whole world. Father, protect my own character, conduct and conversation that it continues to reflect whose I Am and who YOU are. You are my righteousness and strength. Please guard and guide me in all circumstance and help me remember YOU are not surprised and because I am YOURS I will not only survive but will rise up, out, and beyond this. In Jesus’s name, I praise, pray and thank YOU.

Facing the Unknown

Time flies by at a rapid pace. I blink my eyes, and it seems like years have passed. It seems as though time is just dragging when I do not feel my best self. If we watch and listen, God will lead us in ways we can share other’s burdens. It is much easier doing life when you are able to embrace friends and family. The most refreshing event is when even strangers are able to make you feel better with just a smile or kind words.

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2 NIV

While we are doing our everyday chores, shopping, and even driving from place to place, we are exposed to many opportunities for blessing others. If someone is driving erratically, pray for them. Let someone go before you in a line, while you whisper a prayer. If someone pulls out in front of you in traffic, whisper a prayer for them and for you instead of getting angry or upset. We do not know what that individual has just discovered or learned. They will not know you prayed for them, but Our Heavenly Father KNOWS! I promised myself years ago I will never miss another opportunity to pray for any soul, incident, or reason. When we are talking to God, we are taking away Satan’s influence.

I know that the road to Heaven is narrow and filled with unsettling situations. However, I know that God is with me on that road. Jesus paid for our sins, and prepared us a place for eternity, and I pray that all of us will spend that glorious time celebrating God’s Amazing Grace and His Precious Son, Jesus Christ!

All of us, at some time, feel as if things are pushing us down, and we think there will be no end to the problems, chaos, misunderstandings, and challenges. When I begin to feel burdened and frustrated, I find time to just sit and talk to God. He listens, and I can feel peace because I know He Loves ME. If anyone were to see me, I am sure they would probably be thinking, “She has truly lost it, now!” His Presence always calms me even when the circumstances causing my concern do not change. God never promised my road would be easy and free from stress, but He Did Promise He Would Always Be With ME! I am praying for you. Please pray for me.

As I Look to the Future

“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭23:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ NIV

Throughout my life, I have tried to plan my future with prayer and a great amount of thought about the best things to do to ensure success and happiness. Many times those plans had to be altered due to unforeseen circumstances. Accidents, mistakes, and other people or things can cause a person to take a detour or stop and regroup. Since I do not live in a safety bubble, I have learned the hard way that life can throw some terrible curve balls that really hurt my feelings and cause me to rethink my goals for myself.

I have always been “a people pleaser!” Whether that was good or bad, a blessing or a curse, I have not decided. However, I know within my heart that I truly intended for everyone with whom I interacted to know that they mattered a great amount to me. When I say I Love You, I am being sincere. For the past few years, I have felt at times I was not going in the right direction. God has protected me, provided for me, and allowed me to make mistakes and choices that were not good for me. Do not misunderstand. I am not blaming My Heavenly Father. He allows us freedom of choice even when it is a wrong choice. The important thing to remember is every choice I make has a consequence which can be rewarding or difficult. If I hurt someone, I cannot be happy or satisfied until I apologize and seek forgiveness.

I search for answers by reading God’s Word, praying without ceasing, and remembering to listen for HIS still quiet voice or tender reminders that HE IS IN CONTROL. My prayer always includes my praises for HIM, thanks for HIS Love, and a request that He allows me to take HIS Hand while He leads me on my journey.

Thank YOU, Heavenly Father

“Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭143:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Joy feels my heart, soul, and body when I realize how great My Heavenly Father’s Love is for me. He has to chastise me when I am wrong, but HE does it with Love and fairness. Just as I had to correct my children and grandchildren when they were in the wrong, HE corrects me. Judging others has always been a character trait with which I have struggled. I am a work in progress, and I continue to work on this daily. God willing, I will conquer and move forward leaving the judging to My Heavenly Father.

The world is filled with judgmental people who think they know everything about everything!! The reality is God IS The Only One Who is all knowing. He is truly the only one with the knowledge needed to make judgments. WOW!! How wonderful it would be! We can have differences of opinions without destroying each other. I just want to build up others, and I want others to know they matter.

What a wonderful blessing it will be when I meet my Savior face to face. I pray daily for the strength and ability to love, care for, and help others to know that peace that passeth understanding that comes from having a personal relationship with God. I, also, pray for God to be able to say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant!” I know HE is not finished with me yet. I believe HE has things I need to do! When HE is finished, I want to be able to say, “It is well with my soul, Heavenly Father, please take me home!” Please pray for me, as I am praying for you. Amen 🙏🏻

Sticks and Stones

“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As a child, I was told the old saying, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me!” However, throughout my life, I must say, I have been hurt more with words than with sticks and stones. It is not necessarily the actual words that hurt, but the tone that is used or the manner in which they are spoken. Sometimes, words can sound disrespectful or judgmental. I know my words have hurt others, and I have had to ask forgiveness on many occasions! I always pray, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Thy sight, Lord God, my Redeemer and Heavenly Father. “

The words we speak do affect those who receive them. We can encourage or discourage with our words. We can build up someone or destroy them with our words. I have always tried to be an encourager and not a stumbling block. I love everyone I meet, even though I do not always like things they do or say. We all are human and make mistakes, but I truly believe I can be better with God’s help.

I need to be careful with my words and ever mindful of My Heavenly Father’s Will. We can fill our churches to capacity with Believers if we are more like Jesus and speak the truth without being judgmental or discouraging. Love like Jesus ! Smile and speak with a purpose of building up and not tearing down. Our ultimate goal is to fill the streets of Heaven with BELIEVERS! Now, we need to be about Our Heavenly Father’s Business! Please pray for me, as I am praying for you!
