Thanksgiving

Blessed are those who keep his statutes and seek him with all their heart— Psalms 119:2 NIV

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” 1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭34‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psalms 23:6 NIV

According to the dictionary, thanksgiving is an expression of gratitude, especially to God. It is easy for us to be thankful when things are wonderful, but the real test comes when trials arise in our lives. However, when we choose to be thankful in the most dreadful of situations, it is an invitation for the God of Miracles to show up and move on our behalf. This November is the first November in over twelve years that I have not made any posts saying for what I am thankful. I decided this year would be different, and I am trying something that is more meaningful.

It is relatively simple to voice the words, but it is even better to walk the talk. My goal this year and in the future is to show my thankfulness through actions and deeds rather than using words. I want to reach out and touch others and make a difference in my world. God has blessed me with a wonderful family, amazing friends, and other people who have made me who I am. Many of the people in my life have given me their love, friendship, support, encouragement, and opportunities to be the best person I can be. It is important that I reciprocate with my love, friendship, support, and encouragement at every opportunity My Heavenly Father provides me.

I am praying for each of you. Please pray for me!
