Trust and Obey- No Other Way

December 15, 2021

By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones. By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict. Hebrews 11:22-23 NIV

Throughout the Bible, we read about men and women who trust and obey God. Many of these same people suffer greatly because they trust God and follow Him. Sometimes they question God, but their faith in Him outweighs their doubts. Why do we doubt God’s Abilities and His Love for us? That is the human side of our personality. We cannot understand because we are incomplete individuals. Until we surrender completely and hold nothing back from Our Heavenly Father, we will not be able to imagine how we can be of service to God!

I am thankful for the ability to see how others deal with problems and adversities in their lives! When we are in the midst of our own troubles and stumbling blocks, we think we are the only ones facing these things. However, if we just open our eyes and hearts, we see and realize we are not alone. I believe that the obstacles we confront prepare us to help others facing the same situations. At times, we are able to offer advice, comfort, and support because we have firsthand knowledge. God gives us so many opportunities to be more like Jesus! We just have to be willing and open to those opportunities! We must trust and obey and be bold in following God’s calling to serve Him. Thank you, Heavenly Father for giving me opportunities to show your love to others!

Please pray for me as I am praying for you. Until next time. Hester
